Fourth GradeBio:
Mrs. Tacke is so happy to begin her second year at TVCS! After spending the first half of the summer participating in the Boise State Writing Project (BSWP), she can't wait to dive into the imaginative and expressive world of literacy! She spent the second half of the summer enjoying her family and friends, and without much success, attempting to train her dog Padfoot to clean house and fix dinner. The highlight of her summer was two weeks driving across the country with three of her four children. They visited historic and scenic places in 13 states between Idaho and Maryland. Did you know that drivers in Baltimore honk their car horns an average of twice per second, while drivers in Minnesota never do? With fall on its way, Mrs. Tacke is ready to settle down and focus on her students. The school year will bring a classroom of new faces, conversations, projects, field trips, and more!

Mrs. Tacke's Fourth Grade Class Mission Statement 2012-13
All of us have passed the 3rd grade.
Now we are in the
4th Grade
at
The Village Charter School
to . . .
Learn. In order to be educated people, we will be open to all of our school subjects such as science, math, writing, reading, Idaho Adventure, Spanish, P.E., Music, and Electives.
Make Friends. We will work together and appreciate each other’s talents and challenges. We will practice good manners with one another in the classroom and on the playground, and welcome guests and new students into our community.
Prepare for the Future.
This year will help us get ready for other times in our lives, like later grades, when we go to college, or start careers and families. We are planning for life!
Have Fun! We can enjoy our time together, making the most of activities, exploring places away from school on field trips, talking over interesting ideas with one another, playing games, exploring our creative sides, and keeping a positive attitude even when things aren’t exactly like we want them to be.
